Free Community Tea Pour where you can try 12 different types of black tea
Come stop by for our second community tea pour where we cup a lot of teas side by side - this time black teas from Taiwan and China! Whether you're a seasoned tea drinker or someone who's only ever had teabags, this event is for you.
We'll be brewing teas according to cupping standards, ensuring that you'll be able to assess the nuances of aroma, flavor, and taste among a variety of different teas. This is a great opportunity if you'd like to expand your personal knowledge for tasting notes for teas, and to meet new people as you explore new flavors.
We'll be cupping black teas from two companies Spirit Tea (Chicago) and Seven Cups Tea (Tuscon).
We will have two different cupping times, roughly starting at the start of the hour. So don't worry if you need to come a little bit later.
It would be helpful if you brought your own teacup, but we will of course have cups for those that need it!
There will also be some additional cupping sets, so if you are looking to see how your black tea "stacks up" against others out please bring at least 3g of your black tea.
The event is free, but donations are welcome :) See you there!
